Smile Mike Troyer does it again!!!

I ran the Lightning at the annual Norwalk Smackdown today, and the truck responded very well. The 2002 Lightning ran a best of 12.42 @ 109.5 mph and had a 60' of 1.91 ON F1's. The truck has a 6# lower, 2# upper and Troyer tune.... absolutely a phenomenal beast. Air fuel is still conservative, and I run on 94 octane. The weather was 68 deg, and the humidity was a factor all day. Thumbs up the Mike Troyer and his people at Troyer Performance! THANKS!!!

Sounds good Cub Cadet. Since we both use Mike as a tuner, we should try to meet up sometime. Where do you normally run ??

This is the same set up I had on my '01 Lightning that Mike Troyer tuned and it went 12.39 @112. Identical mods.....

Yeah the times do not surprise me.

My virgin trip to the strip netted 12.8 @ 109 w/ 4# lower, CAI ,Magnaflow cat-back + Troyer SCT9100 93 octane tune as my only mods.

Marc Carpenter - It's me - Phil

I made all the passes with the pass. seat in, the tailgate on, and the bed cover on. Gone are the hitch, sway bar, spare, wipers, and washer bottle.
The truck does have the following list of overall modifications:
AirForce One filter kit, BaBolt Throttlebody, NGK TR6's, Magnaflow exhaust and Lakewood traction bars.
All I need are a set of Hoosiers, and I believe this truck to be at least a 12.20 ride in good air.

What State are you in? I know down here in So. Florida the heat/humidity is kicking, especially nowadays. I would say we (and probably most others would be) are a little slower due to the crappy air?

Dayum I've got to get down to Bristol to see what I run in the quarter. i laid down a 8.17 1/8th mile on a 1.91 60' w/F1s after my new Troyer tune and i am happy with that. What does that equate to in the quarter mile fellas? Does the 1.56 x 1/8th ET = 1/4 ET hold true? or is it 1.58.

I pull my swaybar, spare, jack, & subwoofer.

Mine had all of that still on. I didnt even take out the spare tire. Drove to the track, pulled up to the line and ran mid 12's all day long. It would varry from day to day depending on weather but I usually ran between 12.6 and 12.8.

I do not have the hitch. I took that off b/c I do not tow anything with my truck. But everything else is stock, including a couple of subwoofers and large amps inside the cabin. I've got a soft tonneau cover... not sure if that helps aerodyamics much or not (manufacturer claims notwithstanding).
