Super Nice New Intercooler Resevoir

It's made of aluminum and comes in a natural finish. We provide all the fittings and hoses plus the cap. We'll have a billet cap cover soon that'll make it look better. It holds just slightly more than stock so it's no great cooling mod other than the fact it's aluminum and dissipates heat quicker and is more durable.

What do you guys think? They are on my website now.

They polish up nice too.

Thanks,

Tim @ Chikenears

Looks nice..

Only thing I'd suggest is maybe making the filler neck as short as you can. When I change my rear plugs on the pass side, that's right about where my gut resides.

We're making cap adapters for them so you guys can use your billet cap covers that you bought from us.

Nice, and I'm assuming it will hold ice 35th.

not to bring this new item down, but with it you cant just look to see if the intercooler has enough liquid, u will have to open it to check fluids, not a big deal just a bit inconvient in my opinion. The Alumium should for sure help cool the liquid down a bit better than the stock plastic one.

It has a sight tube to check the fluid level.

Your cooling theory relies on the assumption that the fluid is hotter than the ambient air (and radiant head) in the engine compartment. I'm not sure that this assumption is valid.

This is a really nice looking, professionally done piece! It looks so much more "professional" than the stock plastic unit, I think I'll get one. But as it's not much bigger or appears significanty different in shape than the stock unit with I'd guess not a much larger surface area - and located in the same location - even though it's constructed from a different material than the stock unit it still sits in the same location subject to the same underhood heat in that area - I just would not expect it to transfer or radiate much more, if any more, heat energy from the moving intercooler fluid to the surrounding area. But it sure is a nice looking profesionally done piece and I think it makes the appearance of the engine compartment look a lot more "serious" than the plastic unit.

The brass fittings look tacky, why not SS fittings?
