hey bros wich do you think would come out on top in comparison? this question has been starting arguements at work all week..most say the typhoon would be faster others say L..now i know this is a ford forum so im hoping the answers can be real not just taking the L's side..me personally i think the L would take it considering the typhoon on a stock engine maxs out around 125mph..but anyways what you bros think?

 

acceleration would be way faster in a typhoon. i'm not sure about topspeed.

 

I would think the ty would win, I believe they run in the 13's stock and Gen1's run in the 14's.

 

think i read some where the 93 ty's ran 14.1 at 97mph

 

yeah i would love to say lightning but i dont think it can handle a ty

 

Everything else being equal, NO WAY a Stock Gen 1 Lightning will beat a Stock 'Phoon! The Ty will KILL it off the line and never look back ---> Boosted AWD Launch!

And, assuming they're both factory stock, weren't the Gen 1's limited to about 110mph top speed? Typhoons, like the Syclones, were electronically limited to 126mph from the factory.

 

The Ty would destroy it... I had a 92 ans bone stock with like 300lbs worth of speaker/amps in the back it ran 13.8. I don't know what a stock 93 L ran but I am sure closer to 15's
Like others said the Ty outta the hole is great you will cut a mean 60' then it falls on its face @ 1000' (stock)

My bone stock '94 L that I bought new ran 15.2 @ 88mph. That was in N. Texas. Maybe back in the northeast on a day with really good air it might run 14.9, but that would be it.

The Typhoon, as others have said, would crush it.

 

My stock 93 ran a 14.13.. best I could do........
