Experience!

Use a 1/2 inch breaker bar and kick it! Don't push on it, kick it! The risk is that you will strip out the old pulley bolt and have to have a hex wrench welded in but it's the only way. If you push on it or pull on it you will most likely strip it out anyway.
There is some ape at the factory that loves his inpact wrench a little too much!

Just stay with it. It will break loose. Most of us have had the same experience. I don't recall now which way to turn it, but there are many posts on here that tell you that. What I do remember is getting the longest piece of pipe to put over my breaker bar for an extension, and being coiled up like a snake underneath (I was up on about 8" jackstands at the time) and pulling and tugging and kicking and groaning and thinking it would never break loose - and then all of a sudden, it breaks loose. Just stay with it - you'll be fine.

Put the front up on jack stands. If you are looking at the front the bolt is going to turn CLOCKWISE to loosen it. Get a breaker bar on the pulley bolt and put it pointing straight down. Get a cheater pipe on it if you can. If you can't get it higher in the air. Put your back against the driverside front wheel and your foot on the bar. I did this myself. but it may help to have someone hold the socket on so it fall off while you get situated. Push hard and it will come off. Spray it with some penetrating oil and let it sit for a while and try again.

I used like a 3 foot piece of fence pipe and it loosened right up.
