Are all line mod valves and pulleys created equal?

I was getting ready to start the mod game and was wondering if there is a difference from one vendor to the other? I know chips and the programs on the chips are different depending on who tunes them, but as far as a 4# pulley or a line mod, are they the same? Yes I know some have the cage (support bracket) but other then that are there any differences?

Thanks!

John

pulleys:
-caged (i think JDM is the only one who sells these)
-uncaged - come in quick change version where there is a hub mounted to the balancer with an outer ring that bolts to it. these are nice as it is much easier to cange pulleys if you need to. they come in a one piece bolt on version as well.

the main difference betwen all the brands is slight differences in diameter

there probably are differences in the valve bodies, but i have and like the Factory tech version, plus if you ever have problems with it, he usuallly will replace it for you. (i don't htink he will charge you either) dont now much about the other options here.

Thanks for the replies, I guess I was asking if some pulley's have been known to be weaker or could possibly cause issues with the truck down the road. I guess the bottom line is, do you get what you pay for or are some vendors just cheaper?

as far as pulleys, they are all about the same. the caged ones have not proven to be any better, so i would just stick with uncaged for ease of install.

valve bodies are a different story.

I've never heard of a pulley breaking.

I had issues with the bolts holding it breaking and had to replace the "balancer."
