I just bought a house and I am moving all my crap this weekend. I score some hand me down couches from my girls sister until my new furniture comes. I have the 2 couches in the bed of my truck driving down a 2 lane road (one each way) it is a busy road with a bunch of stores on it. I slow down because the car infront of me is pulling into a bank parking lot. She turns in and I hit the gas, as I do this some nut case ina Caddy DTS goes into oncoming traffic to past me and cuts me off. I stand on my air horn for a good 60 seconds riding behind, I was pretty pissed off but big deal I saw his wife hit him and yell at him so that was good enough for me. He starts to drive like a maniac, gunning it and then standing on the breaks all with 2 little kids in the back of his car. about 10 blocks later I turn down the block to go over to the next avenue. Now this is the main avenue in town, 3 lanes wide on each side, stores on both sides.. About 5 blocks later this guy pulls up next to me and rolls down his window, so I roll down mine. He says " Nice way to drive ******* I have my kids in the car " (so at this point I am like is this guy F'in kidding me with that comment ). So I reply kindly " F U you fat F in bastard in my kind NY voice. The light changes and I go on my way. This guy does not give up driving crazy switching lanes, cutting people off, etc.. He does not make any progress because of the way traffic is. I am driving 100 % normal not paying attention( I promise ). I wind up passing him again about 3 blocks later and them switch to the middle lane and he comes up behind my and I am blocking him again, He flaws it and tries to pass on the right hand side ( this is a residential area), there is this huge garbage truck double parked and he almost slams into it and lights up his breaks. @ blocks later I pull over to a deli in the middle of the block and my girl gets out to buy some stuff. This guy stops at the traffic light at the corner and gets out of his car and starts walking back to my car shouting every profanity in the book. Now the corner he is stopped at is the main intersection in town, allot of cars and allot of people walking around. The block we are on is pretty long so he was a ways from me but I still could hear him perfectly. He walks about 150 from his car screaming and then walks back. When he gets to his car I stick my head out of the window and yell "F U" , He does the same thing, goes nuts, walks 150 ft and then turns around. Gets to his car and I shout " your a great father way to make an example". He rages again and goes back to his car and gets in. My girl comes out of the store and not I have to go over 3 lans to the turning lane at the corner. There is about 10 cars in front of my , the light changes, he starts to go, 2 ft later he stops his car, gets out and starts charging at my truck. It is a good 1000 ft or so. Now I am like oh crap I am about to get into a fight. My girl starts screaming get out of hear. I know there is now way I am going to get out of there without running him over so as he is running at my truck I get out and get in front of the truck. He is running at my full speed with his fist clenched and back ready to punch. He gets to my and swings, I duct out of the way like Sugar Ray and land a direct hit to his chin, he falls the the ground, kind of tripping over himself and from my punch. He falls right in front of me so I kicked him full force in the mouth and them a flat foot to the back of the head. I look up for a second and I see there is at least 100 people in the street watching, 3 lanes of traffic are stopped and the first thing that goes through my head is that I am going to get arrested. So I could have destroyed him but I backed off let him get up and start to bop and weave as he comes at me. He was swinging and swinging but did not land one hit. I go to more solid hits on him. Then finally to men came over and grabbed him. He was foaming at the mouth. As it was calming down he spit on my truck and my door was open and he was able to get close enough to slam my door. I went to go punch him again, but my girl screamed enough and I stopped. The 2 guys finally pushed him far enough away and he walked away. Best this was his wife got in the drivers seat and left him there. So as I was pulling away I screamed, Yo ahole how did it feel to get kicked in the face, then I lite up the tires and got out of there. I still can not believe that this guy got out of his car and ran a block back to fight me with a wife and 2 toddlers in the car.....crazy people

 

Wow. That's all I can say.

 

**** is all i got to say... sounds like it could have been avoided, but i can see myself doing the same thing. Gotta love those airhorns!!!!

He's gonna pay for his stupidity for years (too bad he's to dumb to realize it). The kids and wife will never respect the man again.

 

Must be a NY thing...
I remember I was w/ my ex and that happened once (staten island) and I left him there. I was driving behind him and he was driving like an a-hole and almost hit this guy driving next to him... they pulled off to the side and were fighting. I didn't stop, I kept going. He called me crying 20min later he put his hand through the guys window and he had glass stuck in his hand. I just laughed at the stupid azz.

Thats why I carry a gun.

 

I don't carry a gun... but I've always wanted to see what it'd be like to crack someone over the head w/ my maglite. Other than that I have a knife here and there.

 

And exactly why you gotta be careful getting in confrontations on the road, right or wrong. Not like 30 years ago when the worst that would happen is you'd get your butt kicked. Todays is often lethal.

That was the first thing I thought when I got out of my truck, I hope he does not have a gun.

He looked like John Gotti, was in a suit, big italian guy, I though this guy definitly has a 22 on his leg.

 

I have 11 years of pinned up hostility- so if something like that happens to me- someone will get hurt- and it won't be me... Thank goodness I'm passive/aggressive- I won't chase you, but if you come after me- well, who's fault is that?


On that same note- you better stay up in NY with that... Laying on your horn will get you shot in the south, and in the west. (Especially in California, Arizona & Texas )

I had a guy come up and start with me once, I made a fist he drew a gun.... its a different story when your looking at death, you dont feel so tough anymore.... even though he was the tough guy who started it.

 

Yep, some Jakass rushed my sister once ........ When he got to the car he was looking down a barrel...... put his hands in the air and went back to his car and drove away.

 

Took me a while to get over it... Here in Kentucky, I take it a little more personal when someone honks at me.. specially when I aint doing anything wrong.
