Question about drop spring install

So I got a good deal on a set of progressive rate drop springs and cam bolts and had a couple questions. If anyone could direct me to a site that gave a detailed install with pics I would really appreciate it.
Also, one other thing, when I am installing them, since they are progressive they have a series of rings on one end that are closer toghether than they other side, they look like they have been scrunched together, does that side go on the top or the bottom. Any help would be great.

It doesn't really matter which end the close coils go, the "ride" will be like an 85 caddy and be ready for some very unpleasant understeer when cornering.

Here's a How To that SVT-KY put together for the Roush lowering kit install. It shows the easiest way to get the front springs out. A 1.06 mb PDF document.

There is a nice one inch rubber on top of the spring you can remove as well.

Anyone know if the more compressed looking side goes on the top or bottom?
