Updated my Pred, ?s

Updated the Pred, Reinstalled my dyno tune into the L and took a look around at all the features. Now I have a few Questions?

1) What is GLOBAL timing adjustment for? Is this for all the part throttle and idle timing? and does it affect WOT?

2) What is Global fuel adjustment for, same question as above?

3) What is the MAF curve used for? It can be adjusted + or - 10%. Is this is what used to adjust for a MAF extender or is one more way to adjust for fuel with out an extender?

4) I looked into the injector tables that let's you adjust for injector changes and noted that my tune was set for 38# injectors....Dont we have 42# stock?

Now my tune is spot on so I don't need to adjust it but I would like to know what all this is used for?

Why dont you ask your tuner?

Seems like the obvious answer to me.

O.K. when I updated my Preditor r7.5 or what ever it says I reinstalled my custom tune and all the modify paramiters were the same as the r5 edition. Where you in the modify section for the Diablo tunes or for your custom tune because I may need to try the update again. I never could get the Preditor to just start to update automatic when you plugged it in I went to import custom tune and then the packets started down loading but gave me a error too much information but it showed R7.5 which according to Diablo means I have the update.

O.K. I figured it out since I use a serial to USB adapter I have to boot my Laptop with the Preditor plugged into my L then set up the download on my laptop hit send info to preditor it will say waiting for comunication then unplug the Preditor and plug it back in to the truck that is then the download will start hope this helps anyone else that needs it and oh the new version at the top of the Preditor is V.8r9.
Now I was running lean on my custom tune from RWTD and he said add 6% fuel to my tune under the new version I added 1-3000 6 richer and 3000-6000 to 6 edoes this still mean 6% more the old version had the setting in the middle but the new version was to the lean side. Do we nee to ajust our injector size to 42 or leave it at 36 they call it what high injector slope and low injector slope. I guess I need to call Diablo tomorrow.

Global means everywhere. So if you add 2 degrees global, it's 2 degrees added to the entire spark tables. Same for fuel.

The MAF curve is the single most important part of the calibration. Being able to shift the entire curve up or down is useful. If I sent you a tune, and you got a lean bank 1 and 2, that means the truck is running overly lean (at part throttle) and the computer can't add anymore fuel to fix it. At that point, you could shift the MAF curve 10% richer, and that could solve that issue (depending on how far off it is). Same for being too rich. But keep in mind, shifting the entire curve WILL affect your WOT as well.

Not sure on the injector thing. It should be set to 40.6 for the high slope for stock.

Hope this helps.
