Amazing polish and wax combo!

First off lets say that I'm a detailing junkie and must have 20 plus different waxes, polishes ect... in my garage, I been looking for a simpler way to get Zaino type results without 4 plus steps and a weekend plus a night or two in my garage ( I'm slow ), I have black 01' and like most black rides its a PITA to keep clean, so I was recommended to try this combo - Klasse Polish followed by Pinnacle Souvern wax, well I did it by hand today and to say the truck looks amazing is an understatement, both are super easy to apply, took only half day to do, and I just can't believe the results- and I did it by hand. Dark colored rides try out this comb, you won't be sorry. Todd

zaino is not a 4 part process. and anything that makes zaino application more than a 1 part process should be done using other products. i don't know why people alway say this.

because they don't know how to properly detail a car.

zaino is the only product that spells it out for them, so they assume it is only required for zaino, and not ALL products.

wax job

Sorry I started an issue, I just wanted to share my results. As for not properly knowing how to detail a car, you may be right, I never been trained by a pro detailer, worked in a body shop nor do I have my masters in detailing arts ect... I would bet I'm not the only one one the boards in the same boat. when I do a full Zaino job, start to finish it's a long process and takes me alot of time and effort, maybe I'm slow or just concerned about details but the bottom line is the same and I'ved owned 5 Black vehicles and have tried countless products, again does this make me a detailing god, no, but it does give me some knowledge as to what works for me and what might help someone out. My results today where the best I've ever had by hand.
As for where I got the polish soap is correct Autotopia's web site and the Pinnacle I ordered dirrect from there web site. I would like to post pics but my camera is on vacation with my daughter.

Holly fri ggin detailing snobs! The guy mentions a product he liked, and people spaz! I don't know much about detailing, and frankly I hate doing it, even though I love my L. So anything that may make the job easier is great in my book!

Thanks Todd....good info for us idiots!

Todd,

When you used Zaino, did you use the ZFX (fast cure accelerator)? First time I tried Zaino I didn’t use it and thought it really sucked because it took so long to dry. I gave it a second try and that time with the ZFX. It went much better, dried within 30 minutes and came off very easy…

I love Zaino and the main reason I tried it was because it was advertised as having the ability to give an awesome shine with out the need of a buffer. Since I have never really learned to use a buffer correctly there was no way in hell I was going to learn on my truck.

I have sonic blue, so “kind of” a dark color and I love it, especially the new Z2 PRO and new Z8.

Anyway, bottom line is what ever makes the owner happy is what counts. Some of us like or love Zaino and other love a different product. I have heard or read many times about people trying Klasse Polish followed by Pinnacle Souvern wax and loving the results.

I have learned, no expert by any means, but have learned that 90% of a great shine is all in the paint, surface preparation, claying etc. After that that results are awesome…

Good luck on your choice and I am sure you will love it for a long time to come…

01 XLT, I've never used the accelerator or the newer produsts, maybe thats one of my problems, my results with Zaino have always been great it's just a time thing with me, I don't mind a full day but anything more than that is hard on my schedule. Todd

I was going to try Zaino, but decided against it. I went with nxt generation from Maguires. That stuff was super easy to use. Also got the "after wash"spray detailer. I couldnt be happier. It went on good, came off good, and was quick. Wash with Mr. Clean, dry, wax, remove wax took about an hour and a half.

Zaino inst the only thing under the sun. Would like to try it once though.

you ever try NXT todd?

Chris

i didn't mean to be condescending, but with any full detail job, you should claybar, polish and then wax the car.

i am going to try out a new polish to get rid of the swirls, and do a top coat (or 3) of zaino. and when you use it with the zfx accelerator, it dries in no time. it is the easiest wax by far to apply and remove.

nxt has a great shine, but the durability is horrible. it seems to wash right off! but after 2 or 3 coats of the stuff, it looks amazing until it rains or you wash it a couple times.

I will have to try the items listed here on m black L. I love the results from Zaino, but as stated by others, the multi steps are too time consuming for me.

i am a big believer in the durability and shine of zaino. i've tried it on 3 of my black vehicles. i'll admit i haven't tried anything else in about 5 or 6 yrs. I only use the Z1 prolish lock and conditioner, then the Z2 polish. I use the Z1 maybe once a year if I'm lucky, but this isn't my daily driver and it's garage, but it is a black L. it seems to dry in about an hour or less. sometimes I let it sit on overnight though. it really depends on the humidity as to how fast it will dry. i haven't tried the clay bar, ZFX or anything else as far as the actual polish/wax goes. but their wash is excellent (Z6?) and the Z7 gloss enhancer is nice to take the dust off.

thanks for the tip Todd on the Pinnacle and Klasse. those are both good name products. i am going to stick with what i do with the Zaino for now, I don't follow every proceedure they outline in the instructions and what I do works great for me. people always compliment it when its clean and sometimes when its dirty they say it looks so shiny ? !
