Here is the deal. I got my built engine put in after 2 months of the truck being down. All was going good for about 2 weeks and one night I got down on it pretty hard. When it shifted into second gear it hit real hard and then the tranny slipped a little like it missed a gear. What little I have drove it, I can tell that the shifts don't feel quite right and when it down shifts from 2nd to 1st it slips and bangs into 1st. The up-shift seem to be good except the actual shift seems a little sloppy compared to the way it was (quick and smooth). On top of that I can hear a whining sound when I am slowing down and at a slow cruse. I have pretty loud exhaust so I am not sure if its there at higher speeds.
I tried to get ahold of Gregg but nothing yet. I have had the trans for a year and 4 months.....

 

well, I'd keep trying to reach Gregg for an answer. he seems to take care of everybody as soon as he's made aware of any problems

 

The whinning on decel. could be your rear end taking a dump. Thats what mine did both times it went.

 

Its not the rear end. I know what that sounds like and thats not it (but good suggestion). I can hear the whine and it gets worse as it slips back into first gear with a bang. I am not sure but it might be the pump or I am losing 2nd gear. Its just weird that the up shift don't seem to be slipping they just seem to be kinda sloppy...

I sent emails, made post, and PM'd him starting about a week ago. I know that he does not get online as much as some.

I just hope it all works out. I am really tired of my truck sitting in the damn driveway........
