Talking Gotta love it :-)

Had to run out for a bit to pick up some parts and such. Took the Lightning out for a drive. It's pretty hot out today, so I flipped on the A/C.

730 rwhp, bumper to bumper lunch traffic, crankin A/C, crankin tunes, and the truck never hit 160. Gotta love it .

Your truck is bad *** plain and simple!!

Sal, What do you think of an Alcohol Injection kit to cure my detonation problem? Did you get my emails about my saga?

Jason, alcohol can act like race fuel, but with pump gas. If you put some race fuel in and the detonation goes away, then I'd say you can use the alky kit. I still think you shouldn't be having the problem in the first place though.

Thats the thing. I dont want to "mask" the problem. The thing is I have basically ruled out every possible mechanicle problem. Checked all vaccum lined, DPFE, EGR, checked to make the MAF sensor is sealed properly, no oil is getting in the intake stream etc..

So what else could it be? It cant be the tune since you dyno tuned it for me and the A/f was just under 12 and dipped to 11.6 at redline and the timing was pulled way back to 12 degrees?

I agree. We logged fuel, timing, load, MAF voltage, etc, and everything is right on the money. Do me a favor and try something.... Disconnect the battery for a few minutes, then hook it back up and take the truck for a drive. See if the detonation gets better or worse.

And there's the beauty of Turbos, EFI, and a tuner that knows how to make it run right!

Sal...

I know this is off the subject, but with your name, a job in the Food Industry is probably out of the question...
