Brake Rotors/Pads differences between 99L and 00-03L

I'm curious about buying a set of rotors from a guy off of ebay....my friend bought a set and liked them and they worked fine.

He has an 01 Lightning. I thought I read somewhere that the 99 Lightnings had slightly different brakes or maybe that I read that one of the manuf. had a different part # for 99 brakes than the 00-03.

Are they different or the same? Will the rotors in this auction work on my 99 Lightning?

I know they aren't going to be as good as Brembos or any of the super expensive kits but I'm not really going to be autocrossing it and rarely drag race it. I have to replace my rotors...so I figured I'd go with a set like this instead of OEM.

Please let me know - would like to order tonight.

I can't remember the date, I think its sometime in September..

But if you have a 99 and your truck was built before that date, then you need to order the rotors with 12mm studs, if its built after, then you want the 14mm studs.

I ordered the 12mm studs, dimpled and slotted rotors from them, so have allot of guys on here. Unfortunately they are still sitting in the corner of my room waiting until I get some spare time to put them on. The pads are the same all years I believe. I ordered these rotors and some Hawk HPS pads to go along with them. It should be a pretty nice combo

If you call the company, the guy can tell you the exact date or month. He told me when I called to order. Contact info that was on the business card when I got the rotors:
His name is Richard,

The differance between the 99 and later models are the size of the studs for the lugnuts. These rotors are made pretty good, I bought a set last year for when mine have to be changed. Hope this helps you with your question. Artie
