volant or K&N cold air?

should be essentially the same FUNCTION wise. Comes down to your budget and preference (got a K&N FIPK on mine because I got it used for $100).

thanks after reading that i think im going to keep what i have for now since im basicly stock maybe just change the filter to a K&N

I've had no problems with the Volant and in fact have one to sell if you're interested. You can get the info in the classifieds. I like it mostly for looks.

IMO up to the 380 rwhp range the Volant would get my vote. Above that and you ought to look for the largest conical setup you can find.

i ran my stock box up until where i am now which is 470-480. didnt even see any increase over my stock box/kn/airhose setup excpet in the whine

Agreed. That's exactly why I'm looking to upgrade.

AirForce One for me. One of the largest filter on the market. What makes it unique is it has a filter at the open end of the cone and a scoop to connect to the hole in the fender (in a Lightning).
