Question Autometer Lunar boost gauge problem

Hey guys,

I was hoping someone might be able to help me out. I have a problem with my light on my boost gauge, I had it wired up correctly but it would not light up like my other two gauges in the triple pod. Plus it seems to have been draining my battery so I clipped the wires for the time being. I know some of you may be thinking "well you obviously wired it up wrong" but I checked it over many times, the black wire goes to the ground and the white wire goes to the interior illumination switch just like the rest of them. Could it be that it has a burnt bulb? If so would it have been draining my battery? Can I change the bulb myself? Thanks guys!

There's no bulb on a Lunar gauge... Its EL.

There may be a short in the (+) wire going to the gauge.

Thumbs down

Does this mean I have to send it in for warranty? I think I've misplaced my receipt so that's gonna be a problem. Maybe I can get it fixed? This suxx, it just doesn't look right with only 2 of the 3 gauges lit up....

FWIW, I had this trouble with a lunar I bought off of Ebay. It was a new guage but no reciept from an authorized dealer. Guage worked fine until I dropped it during install. Sent it to Autometer and they called me back saying it was unrepairable and would need to be replaced. I explained what I had done and where I bought the guage and that I had removed the manufacturing stickers also, told her to toss the guage send me a new one. Got the new guage the other day and a bill for 22$ (10$ of which was postage). They didn't have to do that. Give them a call and be polite. I'll bet they will help you out too.
