Need your help I-menace

I just rigged up my electric fan and I am having problems getting it to work. It is off of a Crown Vic / Linclon for a 4.6 and has three flat prongs coming out of the adapter where wires should be plugged in to make it work. One prong is marked positive, the middle one is not marked ( Low speed ), and the last prong is marked negative. I bought a Hayden wiring kit part number 3647
, and grounded the negative wire to the body and ran the postive to the temp control switch where I then ran it to the fuse bow and hooked it up to where JDM has it marked in their instructions (runs when you turn the key on). However, I could never get the temp control thing to work right, so to check and see if the fan would even work I ran the positive wire right in to the slot for "key on", but it ran without the key even in the ignition!! WTF!!! I am about ready to pull my hair out too, because my turn signals no longer work either!! Someone please tell me a step by step on this and how to fix it....turn signals too.
Pictures would be nice... thanks.

i don't have any pictures off hand.. Let me think....

I have mine wired so the thermometer and the a/c turns it on.

I think you're refering to this:

I'll get more pictures but this is how it works.

I have the power coming directly off the battery (with a fuse very close to the battery) to the relay. The relay will only send the power to the fan if the Thermometer reaches a set temp and closes the loop. (triggering the relay)

I know on the kit I had the temperature was highly adjustable, but holding the radiator tube (so I could feel the stock thermostat open). WHen I felt the water starting to flow, I was going to turn the adjusting screw on the thermostat, but just then the fans kicked on... so I knew it was dang close (close enough for me)

I'm pretty sure this is what I hooked my A/C up to. It looks right. I'll take pics of mine and post them up Friday (next day I'll be home)

It sounds like one of two things is happening:
1. your A/C relay is actually connected to a constant hot wire. Therefore the relay is sending the power to the fans constantly.

2. Your temperature is turned down really really low, and somehow it is triggering the relay.

As a temporary fix (until you have time to diagnosis it) you can simply hook up a toggle switch and turn it on and off manually.

I'll be home Friday and I'll snap some pictures then.
I'm guessing the A/C wire is hooked up to a constant positive wire. I'd try unplugging that wire to narrow down if it is the a/c or the thermostat causing your problem.

If the fans still work then it is the thermometer. If not then I'm guessing it's the a/c connection.

Here are the instructions for the JDM wiring kit.

I think the main difference is that their thermometer goes into the block (freeze plug)

you may have to copy and paste link in address bar

there are a few different instructions with step by step pictures

Let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks man,
Yea, it is the same fan, but it came in a shroud for a Linclon so I had to cut it out to mount on to my stock shroud. I will go out and attemp to wire this thing up right today. I'll let you know how it all goes. It would help alot if I can see pics of yours, Thanks again.
