Reading a Time Slip

I was wondering if my r/t was factored into my 1/4 times.

BTW...I ran a 12.1 with a 1.1 r/t & 1.7 60'

Thanks!

Tony

Reaction time does not affect e.t.; clocks don't start until you move and break the beam.

If you stage deep it will help your RT, but possibly hurt your
ET... thats why some guys in BR stage deep.

and on the opposite if you stage shallow it can hurt your RT but help your ET.

Why ? If you stage shallow and all other things being equal your BOLT gets a wee bit of a running start before the ET clock starts.(when your front tire rolls out of the beam)

long roll out........................ running start
short roll out..... better RT (perhaps)

In bracket racing I want the et clock to start as soon as possible to help my RT.

If I'm going for a personal best ET I try to stage as shallow as possible.

generally,
every .1 you shave off in the first 60', shaves off .2 in the 1/4 mile time.

also, some tracks consider a .500 light a "perfect" light and some call it .000 on your slip. IOW, your 1.1 RT may have been a .6 or 1.1 depending on how your track does it. i'm guessing/hoping the first!
