Talking Raced an SRT-10 tonight....

It was all highway, from 50 MPH and sometimes higher, to 110 MPH. I pulled him every time by a couple truck lengths, but I may have been getting the jump on him. He seemed a little slow (if you know what I mean, and I ain't talking about the truck). We stepped on it like 3-4 times.

Anyway, he was a guy in his 40's owns a roofing business, and this is one of his toys. It had 3000 miles on it, and he's had it for a month. It's bone stock, and he's apparently got the money to send it off to get some kind of a kit put on it to make 650 HP. I told him to go turbo if he's got that kind of dough.

He wants to run me some more, and he even mentioned for money. I told him I would run him for money from a dead stop (I'll have M/T slicks on if that happens).

Anyway, what 1/4 mile MPH are those things turning? I think I've read 107-108 MPH. I told him that if we raced true top end, I don't think I would have anything for him.

I've run a string of 12.76's on F1's with a best MPH of 108.93

I think for quarter mile, I've got him covered, especially if I show up with slicks.

A arab guy here has one and it's a beauty. Looks wise Id choose it over a L but screw that price. As far as I know it's suppose to be .1 or so slower than the L in the 1/4 but it has a higher trap speed.

prices have come way down and are cheaper then you would thik. As for the racing I used to own an 01 lighting and think stock for stock it would be a good run in the 1/4. But as we all know their is no such thing as a stock lightning. That being said if you are running in the 12's you will most definetly walk the thing in the 1/4.

The guy I raced last night bought in a month ago and still paid $51k. Sticker was $46k. Dealer markup.

Get it on tape, so you can post it on the SRT(urd) site.

Hmmmm...... Helluva price for that exotic engine. Regardless what they say here, an aluminum V-10 is nothing to take lightly.

Yeah gas prices are really killing the value of the truck. I just hope dodge dosent pull it because of the gas prices.

Not to many people going to buy something that was rated in the top 10 gas drinkers category.

Dodge dealer here in Oakwood has 3 SRTs. An '04 reg cab, 05 reg cab and 05 quad cab. The 04 has been marked down to 41. I'm sure you could haggle alot more than that.

When the dealer pays flooring charges long enough, they will drop prices on any vehicle. Years ago when I was in the business, they used to pay bonuses on the older cars that were sitting on the lot for awhile costing the dealership money.

good kill hatch. Are you going to our lovely track moroso any time soon?I raced a quad cab srt 1 month ago from a dead stop and got him by 2 car lengths. Then we raced from a roll starting at 30 and I got him by 1 car.the srt had exhaust and a filter but a bad driver. The stick shift kills them every time. Its hard to power shift a semi shifter let alone launch those things. He probably went out the next day and bought some spray so beware.he obviously has money
