Coolant fitting behind water pump

Does anyone have a proper name or, better yet, a part number for the fitting that goes behind the water pump, through the block, that the coolant hose in the valley connects to?

Or are these fittings re-useable?

My new short block did not come with this fitting and I'm trying to round up all the loose ends for the motor assembly.

Thanks,
Herb

How did you get it out? I guess I need to save my old one for my new motor.

Based on the advice on LightningRodder, I just pulled mine out.

You have to tap it from the valley toward the front of the block. It took some persuasive 'taps', but it came out. It is just wedged in - no O-ring to the block or anything. I'm goint to run a skim coat of Hi-Temp silicone sealer when I re-install.

Herb, you are right the are just taped in. There is O-rings on the outer side of the tube for the heater tube.

If you need another one e-mail me I have an extra from my rebuild kit.

Thanks Suavy, but I got mine out without a hitch. Pretty stout little tube there.

Thank you for the offer none-the-less
