It will probably just have some idle issues what I would do for a short term fix is if you have a single blade throttle body open it up a turn to raise the idle.

Get a tune to match your built engine. Even if it is just a mail order tune to start out with.

I think he's just trying to avoid paying for a "break in" tune, and then a full dyno tune after break in.

I want to be able to put a few thousand miles on it before , i put a tune on it, undecided to go with milder Compcam with good idle, or JDM's. Jim my builder may be calling you with some questions his name is Brian Duffee of Duffee Motorsports. Thanks

White Trash, I live out in the middle of the desert ,between Phoenix and Tucson, 60 miles from anywhere, and do all my own labor ,except machine shop stuff, I have no close by resources and no way of getting my truck to any tuner thats at least 60 miles away. I want the truck to run the first time i fire it up, and have a good break in period, till it's time to turn it up.

It should run great w/ a conservative mail order tune. Make sure you use a reputable tuner and preferably the tuner who would use the same cams you will be running.
