Get it from Factory Tech directly. They will ship it right to your door and you can have it installed locally. Look to the extreme top right of this web page and click on 'Supporting Vendors' (right under the picture of the F150). Factory Tech is listed near the bottom of that page.

I bought 2 of them from Sal at Power Surge performance. Installation should not be that much, maybe 50. It is about 30 minutes of work. You can do it yourself but it can be a little messy taking off the tranny pan. I installed my 1st one and there is a nice huge red stain for the last 2 years on the street in front of my house . After that mess I paid Sal to install the second one on my new truck.

Hey Sam, We have them in stock and ship them everyday.
Also for a small price difference you can get the 4x4 pan and filter as well.4x4 pan holds 1 1/2 more quarts more fluid than stock.

Thanks, Andy@Chickenears

How much is just the 4*4 pan? I already have a FT valve body.

Thanks!

Not much at all, you have to get the 4x4 filter as well. I've sent you an E-mail on the price.

Thanks, Andy@Chickenears

I got the FTVB with Morroso drain pan & filter as a kit from Chickenears.com. Excellent vendor who is always reachable by phone or email.

Andy, I have been eyeballing your set up for a couple of days now. I was wondering why the Moroso pan is so much more expensive. Is it any better? Or is it just for looks? Sean

Also where do you buy the fluid for this, at any auto parts tore?

floridalawdog,

I purchased the 4x4 pan and FTVB from chickenears and couldn't have been more impressed with their customer service. Before you know it it will be at your door. The install was easy, as long as you purchase a new tranny pan. I installed a FTVB for a friend a few weeks ago (w/o a new pan) and trust me, you want a different pan unless you don't mind cleaning up fluid on the ground and everywhere else.

CHICKENEARS all the way

SMELTZ: is that a temp sender?

If so, what temps do you see? I have mine in the pan and they are always really low. Just wondering how temps in the pan compare with temps taken like most do -- from the side of the tranny.

The 4X4 pan holds only a few more ounces than stock. The aftermarket pans hold 2-4 quarts more than stock.

They are expensive because cast or welded aluminum made a couple of hundred at a time is more expensive than stamped steel made a couple of hundred thousand at a time.

Tranny fluid is available anywhere. Just make sure to get MERCON, not MERCON V.

Thanks Tim and YZF, so if i'm understanding, the moroso will stay cooler than the 4x4 pan. Is it necessary for pretty much basic driving. I think it looks awesome, but who would ever see it?
