basically all your other little bolt ons-efan, ramair, sbtb. etc

His combo has made me think about keeping the apten when i go built.

If you all recall a guy named BufordTJustice, he has a white Lightning, also running a ported eaton. His best time is 11.1 at 15psi also. So.............believe it yet?
So do you have any idea of the weight of his truck? And were those numbers on a Mustang dyno which would be 12-16% lower than a Dynojet? That would explain a lot. I do not doubt he's running those times, I just want a couple answers. I'm ready to take my new combo to the track and I need all the help I can get!

I think it was from JLP, not sure though. He showed me the dyno sheet, but i didnt pay attention to where it was from. His tuning was jlp so i assume thats where it was done, might be wrong. He had skinnies/slicks, no passenger seat, no spare, no hitch. Dont know of any other reduction, he'll have to comment on that. I have some pictures of his truck i can post up later on. He was 60ft 1.58's !!!!

Seems to me that some old standbys regarding performance are skewed when applied to these trucks.
I know these calculators are close for lighter vehicles with higher revving, lower torque engines, but seem off with regards to observations on track and online. This especially seems to apply regarding vehicle weight. These trucks are less affected by weight than most performance vehicles.
BTW I saw the event at Cecil yesterday. Congratulations to all with new best times.

Here are some pics of the truck at Bradenton in March. The Ole'Man ran 11.9's there but the trip back and additional break in must have waken up some more ponies.

The truck was dynoed on the portable dyno that was at Bradenton, I don't remember if it was a Mustang or DynoJet, it is probably on his dyno sheet, he'll chime in.

Good job Ole'Man, it doesn't look like you'll get a full season out of that 11 Sec club hat I bought you, though.

There was a good showing out at Knott's Berry Farm today so I am not too upset that I missed your run.

. . .
One such calculator stated that it was for vehicles no more than 3,500 lbs. How the extra weight affects the calculations I can't say.

It was a Dynojet

Derek94 had most of the mod's, the short block is a JLP as is the Preditor tune. I was only looking for 11.6's at Cecil but the truck wanted to run.
All the components were purchased with the guidance and expertise of John and Sue @ JLP. John has been tuning my truck since it was new.
The engine was assembled and installed by NLR, Inc. after the stock block developed a ventilation problem on a very cold night just days prior to Bradenton. At the time it was pushing 449/535. The Ported Eaton and full exhaust had added 50hp.
The engine cranked first try and after running it through one heatcycle it was driven 1030 miles to Bradenton. After a oil change it ran a 12.1 and John suggested replacing the boost lost with the heads and cams so we went from a 4 to an 8lb pulley.
We Dynoed it on the portable Dynojet and those are the numbers posted.
John sent me a Cecil tune last week and wholly snikees

As Blown93 once told me after taking me by .3-.4 with fewer mods,"It's all in the tune."

So thanks John, hope you enjoyed opening day.

It is very impressive since there's guys making over 100 rwhp and 140 rwtq MORE than you that do not run as fast as you are.

You ought to get on a dyno again just for kicks; I would bet money you're making more than you think you are.

Good job!
