Started a New Project - Hint...32V

Well, I've gone and done it now...here's what I started with tonight. A brand new 2004 32V NAVI engine.

A few things off...

A little more...

More parts off...

Bottom end...

Sooo...I was wanting to build my existing engine, and thought about buying a donor engine to build so I could swap mine out then sell the stocker. I ran across this brand new NAVI engine I couldn't pass up. I plan on stuffing some new rods/pistons in it (balancing them too of course) and putting it back together.

If JDM gets their 32V lower intake adapter stuff ready I may stick with my KB, but it looks like I'm going to end up going turbo. Should be a fun project.

Thanks...I'm gonna stay "moderate" at about 650-700RWHP. (Well at least that's the plan.)

Stupid cool.

Forget the KB -- turbos all the way. Fast, quiet, and tooth-pulling midrange.

Hellion turbo systems is coming out with a turbo kit for lightnings in 32V and 16V configurations. Their kits are 1st rate, with stainless tubing bent at Bassani Exhaust and are complete. Stay tuned for pictures and updates in the next few weeks.

Those kits look great, but a bit too pricey for my blood. I'd rather build my own, or go with a less expensive alternative once there is one.

I agree , if you can go turbo........

nice example of a big twin turbo car ......that pic is around a 99 Bentley My business partner in San Diego has a 2 door Continental T, red, chrome wheels , it pulls good for such a big car. Mercedes already gave up on thier 493 HP supercharged motors....Mercedes 2006 S-Class (not AMG) will have a 500HP twin turbo as an option....

and everyone knows about this guys truck 767/1000

I know for a fact that John is looking for a 2v lightning to use as a mockup to get forms setup for the kits. The 2v will be available in kit form within the next few months. This guy is taking the industry by storm. He actually has completed kits that are available for most of the mustang model years on the shelf ready to ship and complete which is something most turbo kit manufacturers have had a serious problem committing to. It was a smart move by him teaming up with a large volume manufacturer like Bassani to be able to handle any demand loads and offer a quality product at the same time...................

Thats funny, cause he just told a friend of mine, Another NMRA SSO driver, that he decided not to make a lightning kit.

I don't know what to tell you on your source of info......The truck is at Bassani, 95% completed. I have seen the progress of the install on the truck right from the beginning.
