200 mph??maybe!!

Here is what I have been doing this winter to help me with my goal.In reality I dought I will reach it,I don't think my nads are big enough!
this one shows the front scoop I made a few years ago and the ground effects that I made this year.there are brackets that hold it there so you can even kick it and it will not move.Very good at 180+

This one shows it from the side as well as the ground effects on the side of the truck.and yes they are bolted to an alum. panel that I made that bolts to the body.and no extra holes drilled all bolts to the factory ground effects.

And the Magum powers blower with the one off drive snout that I made.

If you look at the roof top you will also see I filled in the channels and installed 'duck bills' trying to get the air to flow over the roof and not wash off it.
First event is next week at Big Bend TX. see you there!!Stan

Would you be the first stock-chassis truck to run 200?

Also, check out the DG Motorsports air dam. Looks way more aero than the stocker for just a few duckets.

Stan,
What speed are you tech'ed to? Are they going to DQ you if you run the big numbers?

Good luck. We want a full report.

this first event is to techinical for any big numbers.unlimited run a 168 average, there are 60+ turns in the last 35 miles[total course length is 58]So it is just a shake down run to see it my work will pay off.In the silverstate I was air born 14 times according to the vidoe tape.So I HOPE this keeps us on the ground!I can tech to 180 the way the truck sits and IF I weld the cage and install one more door bar can tech unlimited.Stan
PS We are running in the 145 class so we will have our hands full, but this is the funniest of all the course because of the turns you have to hit the mark rite at those speeds otherwise you won't make it.I love the 45 and 55 mph turn signs doing 150 kinda have to be somewhat stupid and KNOW what your limits are as well as the vehicle and the nav has to set you up rite!.

How about my question, Stan -- would a production truck in the 200 class be unprecedented?

To be honest a factory produced vehicle that can be bought by the masses would be a first.let alone a truck. And my truck is street driven [18mpg] and has all the factory functions still working.Stan

ALSO

I have to admit that IF I were to run that number I would be doing it on a death wish.I don't think that it would be safe in a vehicle that is not more of a race only prep. After all if you have even a very minor problem at those speeds they are major before you can even think about it.I think 180 -190 would be fast enough for me.And still prove my point.stan

Stan, Not sure if you've done this? But I'd remove the hood seal on the rear, put a 1/2" spacer between the hood hinge plates and hood, and tape off the gap between the bumper and grill/headlights.

I picked up speed in the 1/4 from those little things. Surely it would give you even more?

don't the 2002-2004 Z06's have a pretty high top speed?
