NGK Iridium Plugs

Anyone running the TR7 IX or TR8's? Seem like a cheaper option for Denso's...

I'm running TR8IX for about 9 months, and so far, have a nice smooth idle, and made good power on the dyno with them.

I just put the TR6IX's in my truck and I've never had such a drastic change from just plugs before. Very happy with these, I think they're well worth the price.

I run the TR6IX gapped at .035".

They burn a little colder than the copper TR6.

I have the TR7IX's with a .036"-.038" gap and so far they have performed well but I only have a few thousand miles on them. No idle issues! I am running a 4# pulley with 12-14#'s of boost so I could also run the TR6IX's if I choose. Either one should work fine with a 4# pulley but I would recommend the TR7IX's with a 6# pulley and 14# to 16#'s of boost.

NGK TR8IX, 20 LBS boost, Magnum Powers blower.

No issues! These plugs run cold and won't detonate.

Are these plugs as tricky to gap as the Denso's?

Sounds good. I just wanted something colder than the TR-6's. I do NOT like how the BR7EF's perform. I thought the TR7-IX's were are very good option to running Denso's..

My TR6IX's all came pre-gapped at exactly .036. I just put them in like that and figured it would be good for when I pulley the truck in the near future. Running super and picked up at least 2mpg. I drive the same routes all the time, and my gauge is moving quite a bit less.

Of course, my old plugs were pretty damn nasty.
