HanKook Tires anyone using them?

I just ordered them they are only V rated but have a treadwear of 460 I think and the best part is only $140 a tire and the goodyears are like 217-255 and knowhere to be found or at least I couldn't find them (4 of them)
These also have a M/S rating not that I drive it in the winter but I figured in the rain it will help
So I thought I would give these a shot if no good I'll just melt them....
Anyone know about these let me know what you think or thought of them I never even hear of this brand

Thanks
Slick

I have Hankook 285/35/22's on my L and they ride very nice on the street. Wet...well... we should all be driving carefully when it's wet anyways so I can;t really b*tch too much

I orderd two RH06's for my L and will install them this week. I heard they are good bang for the buck. I dont expect too much out of them but then again even with F1's I dont htink I will be hooking on the streets with my set-up.

Very good wet tire and I think anyone would be crazy not to use them on the front... On the front they will last forever...

They're a good choice for a daily-driver cause they offer the best price, they are better in the crappy weather and they wear better than the Good(fera)Year F1's.

Yeah, plus they don't corner, don't hook up as well, and I think
are inferior in the rain. But everyone has an opinion. I think
performance tires on a performance truck makes perfect sense.

I love the Good(fera)Year's comment.... How do you get a
year out of them? LOL

RH06 is V,X&Y rated making it a performance tire, no? Aren't the new F1's W rated?

The 3 sets of F1's I've gone through at 25k miles per set hydroplaned more easily than the RH06. Since I'm not cornering at the limit I haven't noticed any difference compared to the F1's but I'd expect it with the harder compound.

The RH06 has a higher max load rating than the F1's for those of us that still use the L as a truck.

Thanks for the replies..

I don't really care about the performance end of it for the street, I don't go through the twisties at mach1 thats what bikes are for. I use slicks when I goto the track (maybe 2x's a year) I just want a nice daily driver tire that is not crap.

I did not like the F1's one because the don't wear good and never have on any car I ever had goodyears on and the fact that since they changed the tread pattern on the f1gs it is really hard to find the tires for our trucks in oem size that are readily available.

Thanks for the input I will let you know how I like them in a week or so when I get them on, I have to switch the fronts to my backs first and might as well melt them away instead of tossing them.
I was suprised to see alot of checks and cracks in the goodyears with less than 17k on them (fronts) they did wear even but I guess they didn't like the long periods of sitting when it is off the road for the winter months

thanks again
Slick

A local Lightning buddy showed up at the house last night with HanKooks that he just had installed. For a 420 tread-wear rating tire, they seemed softer than I expected. He likes them a lot.

When I was shopping the Toyo's were over $200 ea. plus tax and install, the RH06 were $165 plus...
