Caliper painting for dummies: (pics)

Well, the caliper party went well yesterday. We knocked out 10 wheels in about half the day. MisterGadget, Her2001, and myself started at Hooter's around Noon to formulate a gameplan (i.e. plow chicken wings). After a search for more jackstands and warm up beer we were ready to go.
Mistergadget already has the uber-sexay Wildwood's up front so we only had to do his rears. I would show you a pic of his rears but I'm boycotting his pics due to the fact he yelled "BLING! BLING!" for 4 hours straight when he'd look at my wheels..lol.

On with the show! Stock Front.. Fugly..yes...

1200 Degree Duplicolor Engine paint: RED

Time for the back. We painted the emergency brake hub with 900 degree black paint. It REALLY cleaned up the look. Just used a wire brush to knock off the rust and get some surface for us to paint. We were going to mask it off but Matias quoted the great RUSLOW and told us "paint the whole damn thing you pansies! The rotors will clear off any overspray on the first hard brake" I hope to hell you said that RUSLOW, or Matias is gonna get beatdown.

Her2001 went with black for his caliper cover: Looks super clean with those 18" Boyd's

Well there you have it. 20 Chicken wings, a few beers, and listening to Matias compare my truck to "Pimp My Ride" for 4 hours was all it took.

Big thanks to Matias and Jason for the help with the prep and the paint. Hopefully this stuff will last a while.

Next Project: Cervini's RAM Air hood on Sunday. Woohoo!

Was I really that harsh?

Once All my stuff is here, I'm stealing your expertise in installing some sound deadener in the cab.
