Rods; Forged or Billet

About to do a built motor. I plan to push it pretty good boost/bottle eventually. My question is has anyone broke/bent Forged rods such as Manley's?

Are the Billet rods going to be worth the extra, or is something else going to break first. I am basically thinking something else would break first.

aren't the billet rods lighter, for higher rpm motors, and not necessarily stronger?

Billet rods might be lighter, but I sure know they're a lot stronger than forged.

Talk to Scott at VT engines, he's a wealth of information.

Later,
Tony

There's VT then there's the rest of the engine builders.

Just my two cents,
Tony

Hope you did blow your engine trying to manually shift from 1 to second.

Mind me asking how it happened...

Who are they Pony? Please post them.

I think JDM has the best motor program for Lightning's around, too bad I dont have the warm fuzzy feeling for Jim or I would probably buy one when the time comes.
