People useing breathers for the pcv .... i gotta question

I installed 3 breathers on my L when i got it in jan. and blocked off the pcv ..... The truck was bone stock then but now i have a 4lb lower cak and a tune since these mods i am getting a good about of oil blowing out of the breathers ... Do you guys have this problem too ? I am thinking about going back to the pcv setup so i dont have to clean the engine all the time

I just did the breather mod yesterday and have only been into boost a few times so far, but the filters all still look like they did when I installed them. I know it's still early, but I was expecting to see some oil. How long before you started seeing oil on the filters?

I have the same coating of oil on the passenger side and the oil filler but I haven't seen a huge drop in oil capacity. I'm sticking with it.

Did you guys try this method:
https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...&highlight=PCV

If you did it this way, and you are seeing tons of oil slobber, you may have excessive blow-by. Try switching to a 5-30 oil first, and make sure your PCV's aren't gummed up and stuck wide open. My way allows for effective breathing while retaining oil trap. I'm running a Magnum Powers @ 17 PSI and I get no signifigant oil slobber, however the passenger side filter is beginning to get a little oil-dampened.

Master of Pain, that is exactly what I did except I also replaced my oil filler cap with a breather type. So far so good.

I have a 6lb lower with a ported eaton. Zero oil slobber. None nadda nothing.

If you have ALOT of blowby, you might have a head gasket problem. The head could be lifting when your under alot of boost, thus creating extra pressure in the block and causing the oil to blow out the breathers.

Well, like I said I don't see any declining oil volume. They are just slightly oil coated so I don't think there is a problem but thanks for the heads up. I also don't see any oil splatter or coating in the engine compartment. It's just on the filters.
