Engine Code p0107

Pulled and engine code
P0107 Map/Baro circuit low input

Could this be the MAF meter? i dont think the lightning has a map sensor. Could it be that its dirty and needs to be cleaned or that it just needs to be replaced?

Anyone have some insight on this?

Gaven

the lightning doesn't use a MAP, but does use a BARO sensor. it is located on the driver side of the S/C at the rear of the bracket that also holds your DPFE sensor and EVR solenoid (egr system parts, and your boost dump solenoid.

you've probably got a bad sensor, but it could also be a wiring problem, bad connection, or a bad pcm, most likely the sensor though.

good luck.

later,
chris

Hey Bart,
I'm still kickin' around. I still have my truck and am driving it every day. I'm kindof on hold from racing it and modding it for the time being so I don't break something again. the truck was broken or taken apart for probably 8 months out of last year, that fact and a sudden realization that my financial situation was upside down really took the fun out of things for me. Since alot of you guys from the boards and the folks at JDM were nice enough to help me get the truck running again last year, I've decided to count my blessings and just enjoy driving it in one piece for a while and not push my luck with the racing and nitrous.
I still monitor the boards pretty regularly though.

Unfortunately, since I'm not racing and not buying any new mods, I don't have as much interesting stuff to post about.

anyway, thanks for wondering about me, I'm still around.

take care!

sincerely,
chris haynie
