Xcalibrator 2 info... (Trade-in program)

I thought you guys may be interested in a post I came accross. If I read that correctly the people with the current Xcalibrator will only have to pay $75 to upgrade to the newer version...

I phoned Superchips Custom Tuning in Florida today and asked to speak to a Tech. After getting a little of the "are you a SCT dealer?" run around, I got through to someone who could answer my questions about the new Xcalibrator 2.

The new unit will have tuning capability that exceeds the Predator. (The current Xcalibrator holds the factory tune plus three custom tunes and can swap them out, but doesn't allow user input to alter tuning parameters.)

The Xcalibrator 2 will connect via USB cable to your computer.

The Xcalibrator 2 should be available around the middle of May.

Xcalibrator owners WILL be able to trade-in their current units for the new 2 for $75.00 plus a refundable core charge. Purchase a new Xcalibrator and load your programs into it, then send your old one in.

I asked the tech if the $75.00 trade-in price has been fixed. He said, "I'm pretty sure, since I own the company."

I've asked for price twice on their website forum now and they ignore the question...

just curious, who did you talk to? That pricing for the trade in has promotion has not been finalized, and none of our techs are partners in the firm.

Buying an L at the end of the year and trying to learn as much as I can about the latest after market parts in the mean time...

Do the xcalibrator have a switch to flip from program to program on the fly???

I didn't talk to anyone. As I stated in my post above I came across this info on another board. Hence the Quote.

ahh, thanks for the info. I just want to make sure that things being passed around are correct, so I'll get to the bottom of this.

Sounds good!

PS, Try not to raise the trade in price will ya. Us guys who just bought the SCT Xcalibrator 1 need something to get rid of some of the sorrows of this new one coming out so soon after we just bought.
