lowering springs ques

Ive got a 2003 L. I wanted to lower it about an 1" because it is a daily driver. Would the ford performance spring and shackle kit work fine, or is there something better out there for about the same price? Also, I would like to keep the stock shocks.

Thanks for the help.

The FRPP/Ground Force kit would suit your needs perfectly.

Yes it wold work great for your truck. Dont forget to get good rubber, thats just as important to the over all preformance of your truck.

Good rubber is important, true, but for a daily driver, I have yet to see any credible evidence that there is a tire better than the stock F1s. I have driven them under the most extreme conditions and have come to the conclusion that they are the best all-around tire that I have ever owned.

You may get more grip with another tire, and you may get better wear with another tire, but I have yet to see a better combination of the two than with the F1s.

I agree with Tim. The F1s are a very very good tire.

Also 282lightning, I have the FRPP 1" 3" kit with stock shocks on mine. It's a very very good kit IMO. The balance of price / ease of install / lowering / and firmness all equall a good value.

I also cut 2" out and rewelded the rear swaybar end links. That was a noticable improvement as well.

plus as long as they have decent tread they grip relatively well int he rain. i haven't had any problems hydroplaning with good tread left on them.

Thanks for the help. How much do the frpp's cost? How low will they make the truck, in the front especially?
