Just noticed my Autometer fuel pressure gauge is choppy

I was driving and just noticed when Ipress ont he gas my fuel pressure gauge needle does not increase smoothly. It jumps form like 40 to 60 psi etc. Its choppy for a lack of a better term. Is this normal for a truck with Kenne Bell, 60 lbs/hr injectors and 255L pumps? Or do I have a gauge/sender(sensor) problem or worse yet a problem with my fuel system. FOr some reason I remember the gauge moving smoothly before the build up but I may be mistaken.

Any help would be great.

I just went out for a drive and it seems to be working fine. I thought I saw it fluctuate at one point earlier today but I just went for a test drive and it looks ok.

It should jump up when you role into the gas(that is the fuel pump voltage switching from low to high) then it should slowly climb as boost builds since the FPR is boost sensative.

That is normal for a electric gauge.
Mine does it from day one especially the big jump from like 38-40 psi crusing to WOT right too 52-55 psi

better to be fast and accurate then slow and steady like a mechanical trans temp gauge it will be 20 min before that bad boy moves....lol

I have had two Autometer electric fuel pressure guages. They did exactly the same thing, then went out completely. Now I have a hole in my pillar. Haven't wanted to buy another since the guage is now out of warranty.
