My New Built REM Motor! "She’s alive again!"

I just picked her up from REM just this past Friday.

Built Motor is tuned very mild for the brake-in period but from the seat of the pants feel, it has more power then the old motor did when it was tuned for performance. Old motor did propel the Lightning into the mid 12’s on a regular basis. In a couple of weeks Paul at REM will do the dyno tune on her. I have close to 600 Miles on it. I still have not WOT yet. Just ¼ throttles she is mean! You should hear it suck air now. Very clean installation! Here are some pics during the install. Me very happy!!!

congrats, congrats

How much boost will you be putting to it?
Why did you go with a built engine?

I remember you telling about the built motor at FFW Orlando. Glad to see you got the L back and are having fun again.

Good Luck.

Awsome! those guys at REM are top notched IMO. Paul gave me a tune that's killer and safe.

I forgot to check that out when we were in orlando. Youll have to let me take it for spin once she is broken in and tuned up.

So what did that set you back?

Did you get ported heads and cams?
