White Smoke?

I drive my truck pretty tamely for the most part (99.9%). but the last 3 times I have stomped on the throttle from a slow roll, under 5mph, it takes off great, but waaaaaay back there is a single large puff or cloud of white smoke from about where I hit it.

I had to clean my IAC out about a week ago and could see a bit of oil in the two holes........Am I just burning some of that up.

I have a seperator on order....... I thought about breathers, but I want to see what I got going on before I take everything apart to clean it all.......also, what is the dime trick?

Any help would be awsome! Take care.

Are you sure your I/C is NOT leaking? white smoke = water vapor.

I have an extended warranty, whatever that is worth.

I know I need to pull the blower, clean or trash the I/C and clean everything else and do whatever is needed to correct the leak.

I just need some $$$ and time.........plus this is uncharted water for me.

Also been thinking about trading the L in for a newer one.

white smoke is oil..... blue smoke is gasoline, black is carbon build up water vapor usualy vaporizes in the cats or just condenses after the muffler and is spewed out the tail pipe like a leaky faucet

keep in mind that when my I/C leaked I had to replace the O2's and the Catalytic convertors, as the I/C Fluid nuetralized the catalyst and fouled the O2's.

Do the O2's screw in or must they be welded in?

Every now and then I get it on start-up, but I'm hoping the single cloud in the rear view mirror way back isnt Catastrophic.

You're probably seeing a puff of RICH exhaust. When you go WOT, the computer will dump a ton of gas, and what you experience, is the richened mixture coming out. If you were to really look at the color, it be closer to a white-ish/tan.

Completely normal.
