bye bye gas mileage

got my plugs, and fuel filter changed and a diablo chip put in and my gas mileage just died....complete plunge, whats going on> did they do something wrong???

did i bump or damage the fuel pressure sensor while u were changing plugs? might wanna check that.. but probably the chip need to be leaned out massively

Rem Did all the work, It took be 3/4 of a tank to go 100 miles the other day to and from coconut creek from west palm...

WHOA.. that's real rich.

Maybe they set the variable worng. With a hex editor, open your flash file from REM and look for

<set enable> PourRawFuelOutTheMuffler = 1

and set the value to 0


Seriously though, I didn't think a bad chip burn could knock our mielage out THAT bad. How's the truck running? Does it feel like it's bogging?

the truck seems to run fine but if i go WOT from a roll theres a huge puff of gray smoke

Is it a red or black chip?

My black(revolution) diablo chip dumped serious fuel. I have heard this to be true on other trucks as well.

Don't quote me on it.

If it's pouring that much fuel? I'd pull the chip. That much will just wash down the cylinder walls and can cause damage.

Give REM a call and they'll get you straightened out.

I agree..... if ur gettin a dark cloud of smoke at WOT get that chip out of there.... thats all unburned fuel.... besdies if u take the chip out then u will know if its the chip thats causing the problem in which it most likely is..... too rich

yea i pulled the chip and it made a complete 180, it went back to being normal im gonna call REM tomorrow... thanks guys
