How is everyone's seat material wearing? 99-03
I have an 04 and plan on keeping it 4-ever and have access to some new factory covers fairly priced. Should I store them or buy a set of Okles ( around same price )
Okles any comments?

my '99 with 25,000 is in perfect condition.

 

There is a potential problem on the left lower bolster on the driver's side seat. There is some kind of metal bracket in the seat pan that may eventually cut through the seat bun (the foam) and eventually wear into or through the seat fabric.

Down here in the south, we're all big corn fed bubbas (I'm 6'1", 235), so maybe its a regional thing. My 02 L is (was) also a Daily Driver (at least four ***-slides per day) and it has 37K on it.

Mine is SUPPOSED to be replaced under warranty - my dealer had to take photos and submit them to Ford for approval. My case was approved and they ordered the replacement bun, but it is back-ordered. That was before Christmas....

That's my story - maybe other will chime in with a prevative fix for this (something like "reach up in the seat and break this thingy off")
