Plastic Smoothing Experts: Questions...
I started to smooth and clean some plastic pieces in the engine bay.
I removed the ridges on the radiator cover piece, but noticed it turned somewhat "fuzzy" (for lack of a better word) where I sanded the area down.
Will the plastic adhesive promoter help harden that area? I plan on shooting the promoter, then multiple coats of primer (to fill in all the bumps), and sading in-between before applying the color coats.
Any tips on the whole sanding? I want a slick finish, but don't want to sand the heck out of all those little bumps on the pastic covers... takes too darn long that way. Figured a few coats of primer should fill in those areas...
Oh, and the battery cover - it's pretty slick plastic. Woudl anyone recommend a light sanding to the whole finish, or would the adhesion promoter be enough? (I have already washed the parts in Dawn to strip any greases off them).
Thanks!
