Question TPS ground

couldn't find the answer searching.

anyone know which wire is the TPS ground? I thought it was gray w/ red tracer, but the truck doesn't run with the digital ground from my wideband connected to it. Just undo the connection (with the digital ground wire (black w/ white)), and the truck runs fine.

The gray/red tracer on the tps is not a true ground. It is a signal return path for the tps and many other sensors.

You need to hook the wbc ground wire black/white to a true ground source.

There is a black wire which is a good ground source in a three wire connector about 2 inches above the diagnostic connector at the bottom right side of the driver side lower dash panel.

thank you. Is it important then, that the Black w/ white wire is hooked up to a "digital" ground, or just any good ground. When I connect this wire to the same point that I connected the black wire to (an engine ground fastened at the firewall next to the starter selenoid), everything seems to work perfectly. I just wonder why Dynojet would recommend a different grounding point for two wires both intended for ground.

If you can explain, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm just curious.

thanks, Aaron

I don't know why they specify a "digital ground" but a regular ground works fine.
