Question Motor making noise. Won't start.

I just finished putting my home built motor back in and all it does is crank really fast, make slapping and knocking noises and won't start.

I couldn't remember where these went and didn't think it was that big of a deal.

Any ideas? I'd like to be back on the road ASAP.

It's a good thing you left them out-all they do is raise the compression. We all know you want low compression on a blown motor.

I found where they went when I built my motor. They go in those 8 big holes.

I am still trying to figure where these things go.
