Frame Coating?
OK - I'm cleaning up the mess I made with my motor pull this weekend.
Now, Am I just scrubbing too hard or did Ford forget to paint my frame?
I know the waxy, greasy dirt collecting rust-proofing undercoating crap is there, but I was under the impression that there was paint inder it. That does not appear to be the case - or I need to lay off the spinach.
I'm seeing bright, shiney, bare steel as I'm cleaning. Is this to be expected, or do I need to tone down my scrubbing?

Thats the way it is. You can replace what you have removed with a rubber based undercoating that looks the same but is more durable....I think its made by 3M. Or you can just paint it.

Thanks Dale,
I think I'll continue scrubbing and just paint it. I have ALWAYS hated the dirt transfer from that sticky coating every time I work on anything under there.
I could just say its a hardcore drag racing mod for weight reduction, right?
