One quick question.

I installed my accufab T/B today, which by itself is amazing considering I have no technical ability, but my question is that when you get into the throttle some there is a slight sound of what I believe to be air escaping from somewhere. If anyone has any ideas on what it could be I would really appreciate it. The truck runs great, and I can tell that the throttle response is better. I checked all of the hoses and they seem to check out. One stupid thing I did do was reuse the stock gasket behind the T/B, I am lazy and didn't want to replace it, so could that be the source of the noise?

Thanks in Advance

Nick

It is normal. Also one of the coolest things about the mod, lol.

I know they say not to reuse the old gasket, but I did without any problems. I just put a very fine coat of grease on it to make sure there were no air squeezies coming through. The noise when you step on it is most likely the SBTB whistle. You could consider drilling a very small hole in the throttle blade to balance the air pressure when opening. If you are not much into mechanical work, I would suggest having someone else do it, as ther are problems that can occur.

Enjoy the mod. They are nice looking, not worth the money for performance gains, but hey, one must be happy with the ride.

Sometimes the SBTB doesn't line up perfectly with the plenum, and you may hear a little "whistling" noise when first opening the throttle - not a big deal.

Thanks guys, I do like the sound, it sort of compliments the supercharger whine. Since others have heard it then its no big deal I guess. With just a CAI and ported S/C my truck really moves and sounds great, maybe I can upgrade to a full exhaust setup before I get my pulley and tuner?
