First time at the track

Well yesterday was TLOC's track rental at MIR. We had a great turn out and a blast! Weather was awesome and the Lightning's were running! Since this was my first time on the track with my truck (first time running anything since 75) I was happy to run all I wanted! Hopefully I will get better with more practice.
best run

Congrat's Bill!! Did they kick you off the track after that, with no roll bars? I bet you have alot more left in the beast, 10's in the future!!

Thanks Bryan,
I was going to try the new race tested system on the Lightning yesterday but I couldn't get it to turn on...I think my TPS switch is bad or something. I'll be calling Denny today to get some help. I want to hit that 10 yesterday but I still had a blast running.

It was definately a blast. your truck will be knocking mid 10's easy once you get the 60' down. The last time you were at the track, I wasn't even born yet! HaHaHa

Well I think I am going to change the traction bars out...I am getting way to much wheel spin on the launch. Not really sure the best way to get off the line with out spinning those slicks so hard.

Your clearly not transfering the trucks weight rearward. I suspect you have some sort of rancho bar? See how the rear raises? That's not what your wanting...

Anyway.. get a set of long tubes and maybe some adjustable shocks for a quick fix. Or if you got the time and money a 4 link would be best at putting that torque into fwd only movement.

I currently have a set of Cal-Tracs installed and I do have QA-1's on all four corners. I'm going to change up to the JLP 54" bars to see if they transfer the weight better. Thanks Rich.
