Question for wideband users

I'm about to get my bung welded in for my fjo wideband I just got and I had a question. The sensor is only going to be on one side, wich ever colector I decide to put it on but what got me thinking is, am I only going to be getting a reading from one side of my motor for the A/F??? What if one side is lean or rich how will I know...or does it not matter. Confused..

did some research, seems like I have an older system (wideband) and it needs to be in a spot were both sides of the motor are feeding exhaust into it like in a H or X....

It's been said the Driver side bank is the leaner of the two. I mounted my sensor about 3" down from the manifold collector with the back of the sensor facing the front of the truck. Make sense?
I have a WBC and I installed just like the directions since they use a L for most of the install pics.

yeah but if you go lean on the other side of your motor for say a fouled injector or something else how will you know?? see what I'm saying. Your only getting a reading for one side.

If you are lean on one side and rich on the other how will you know anyway with just one O2, even if it's after a connecting pipe? It will still show the average, not if one side is leaner than the other. Use EGT's to do it right, otherwise an O2 in one side is fine, mine is always in the drivers side.

awww yes, you make a good point camcojb, I wouldn't know what side it came from, but if its on one side and the other side goes lean I wouldn't even know it. I'm just gonna put it on the driver side and be done with it.
