Glad to hear you are alright. I'm amazed at the integrity of the cab after the crash. We should congratulate Ford on bulding a vehicle with great frontal crash protection.

Thanks BADAZSVT and moderator, I'm a little lame with stuff like that.

SMOKINTRUCK#1- Amen to that brother!

jls2001 - not sure what you're asking, the wheels shown are Rouche Racing aftermarket wheels I used at the track.

Ruslow, I am hoping to catch the next open track event at Willow with NASA, not sure what I'll do going into the first turn, however. I try to avoid the memory of the impact. Can't say enough about the correct safety equiptment, and I hope I learned something too. Head restrains are on my list as well.

drug delivery - I too took notice of the failure mode of the vehicle and am very relieved and impressed. There was minimal cab intrusion which of coarse saved my legs. I would have thought being pushed back so far would have put the engine at my feet. Thank you Ford for doing such a great job at survivability! By the way, my shoulder harness which was mounted about 6" below the window deformed the whole back of the cab (about 5' wide)about 10". I used a large backing plate so thank God there wasn't any tearout or I wouldn't be here.

I'm getting under it tommorow to pul off some mods and will see the condition of the drivetrain, but the shop told me preliminary inspection has the engine driven back about 2+ feet with the trans bell housing shattered and the drive shaft buckled. Don't think I will be salvaging anthing there. By the way, am looking for a good deal on a shodow grey one if anyone knows of one being sold or traded in.

Thanks

Nerffed from the rear

New info about the cause of the accident. A friend was talking to another aquaintance who claimed to have witnessed the event, described my truck to a T, and said a silver BMW tagged me from the rear in the chicaine, which send me into the wall.

REMOVED
