weighed my truck yesterday.

I took my truck up to the scales yesterday at work, it weighed 4500 lb's without me in it!! I have removed the hitch, spare and installed fiberglass leafs. I had a half tank of fuel, I don't know where else I can find easy weight removal other than the meathead behind the wheel!!

What leaf springs do you have? How many miles/how are they holding up?

jack lighter wheels/skinnys, alum D/S diffrent seats? better/lighter battery doesn't seem like much else without tearing into it.

They're JLP's, I only have about 350 miles on them. I bought them used, so far I haven't seen any splintering but my truck is a weekend vehicle(I doubt there will be a problem considering the vehicle they came off). I still have to cut down the bump stops and fix the cat back, darn thing is driving me crazy at idle and bumps!!

I do have to remove some of the excess crap behind the seats. I already have the alum. d/s.
My brother want's me to remove the a/c system, but I still want it!!
Thank's for the input!

Remove the bumper and install a rollpan, that's taking off about 60-70lbs more.

See the artical I've been doing for some ideas. Also look for part 1.

Nice info Rich

Did you remove the EVAP system? If so do you have any details on what you did for venting the tank? Turning it off on the computer would not be a problem for me.

I've been thinking about a roll pan for a while, still can't consider the a/c though. I'll do a little searching on here for the best fitting pan!!
Thanks again, look out 4400#'s here I come!!
