Dynoed yesterday...Not as good as...

Well finally got the racetested "wizards Of NOS" hooked up and went to SMS to get it checked out. In addition I had changed the lower pulley to an 8 pounder and the upper to a 2.75. Well the dang nitrous line from the pulsiod was to short and it pulled out while trying to get a base line run and I didn't bring any parts to fix it. Since I keep the Lightning so far away(70+miles) I couldn't run back and get parts fix it. So I just got a decent tune on the extra boost with 17* of timing. Ramairsvt (Mike) called a few times to see if the numbers were getting close since we belong to the same local club and will be running this coming week at MIR together. I was hoping to get some good numbers so I'd at least be in the ball park with the big boys like Mike.

hmm

do you have an aftermarket MAF. Looks like you might be pegging it at the end of the run. Starts to lean out.

Nice numbers though.

Yes I have the SCT BA2400 MAF...tuner thinks I may be dropping fuel pressure at the top end. Something I need to check. It is still like 12.1 at the end.

yup

makes sense. My buddy had the same problem and was about to upgrade his fuel system, but when we went to JDM, Jim said the fuel system was fine and his Maf was pegging around 5k, showed similar results.

I have the 75 horse jets in the system right now but will probably go all the way to 150 horse before long...just because it is there...LOL I want to test it with smaller jets to start with.

Bummer on the Short Line and not getting a n20 pull : o (
I've never had a line pull off (cept the day I installed it and forgot to tighten one, hehehehe) but I do keep extra Nozzle Lines, Nuts and Ferrals in my Truck for emergency's.
(I cut mine too short "twice" and had to get new lines) hehehe

You have one major Beast there my Brother, go get um

Those are great numbers and sorry to hear about your nitrous problems. A line should never pull out if installed properly.

1) You must hold the nylon line so it doesn't back out of the seat when tightening and crushing the olive.

2) Once the backing nut is tightened all the way loosen the nut and check that the olive/ferrule is clamped tight with no movement and that a 1mm or so of nylon is extended at the tip past the olive/ferrule as shown in the manual picture.

I had one shop call me saying that lines were blowing all over the palce when trying to dyno a customers car. When I went to fix the car I could pull the olives/ferrules off by hand on every line. If an olive is installed right it is permanent and doesn't move at all and you will have to cut the line to remove it.

I have to wonder how accurate the a/f is if the nitrous injector line was off and pulling in air after the MAF? If this was the case?

The line was plugged and taped...It pulled loose on the first base line pull. I fixed the line...just made it a little bit longer! Only thing I need now is some how tie off the purge hoses...is there a special clamp or fitting to have the little hoses clamped down to?
Denny I will send back all the pieces I didn't use probably day after tomorrow..I'm getting ready to order the 100HP jets from you very very soon.

I'm not sure what purge kit you have and what the outlet lines are like but you should be able to use a basic plastic or metal clamp that you can find at any hardware store. The ones found in the electrical department as used for stereo system cables also.
