I've read several posts where guys are removing one leaf to lower the rear. Most of these posts refer to removing the first leaf that is not held together with the factry spring clamps. On my '04 L, all the leafs are held together by the front and rear clamps, except for the short little spring at the very bottom. Is this the one to remove? It's hard to believe that removal of that one would have much affect.

Second question - could I cut off the factory clamps, remove one full length leaf, and clamp the springs back together with a universal spring clamp on each end, like this? How much lower will removal of one full leaf be?
