JDM Stainless Headers, there brown now?

What gives here? Has anyone else noticed this?

I thought stainless, means stainless.

Can we clean them with a polish or anything like that...?

I'm gonna have them off here soon and be putting them back on so I figured I could clean them up.....

Laters..

I dipped mine the other day. They were brown but now they are shinny again.

the headers aren't rusting or anything, the metal just changes color from the heat. you can get them jet hot coated if you like that look.

I have this two part process i dip all my stainless headers in. I use it mainly to remove carbon buildup on my race cars but it also makes them look new.
