AS the title says...is it worth it to put aftermarket light weight (are there even any available) in our truck? Who makes them? How much do they weigh? How much do the stockers weigh? Are they drop arms, or factory height? Just looking to shed a few pounds.

Hahaha...ya, maybe I'll make a hole in the block and take a couple pistons out too! Seems to be a popular mod lately. Well, atleast the driver lost 10 lbs...that ought to count for something!

Not sure when I'm coming home. I've got an awsome scedule lined up. Going to be in SC for 60 days, so I'll try to hit FFW Georgia....then we come back to VA, so I'll hit FFW Richmond....then I guess I'll come home after that...to chill out at home.......AND HIT FFW Epping WooooHOoooooo!!!

There is no weight savings to be had. The DJM and WC CAs are at least as heavy as stock.

Tim and booger...thanks for the info. Coil overs could be neat...I'll have to look into the $$ on that. I imagine you get a lot of adjustability with that type of set up.

I wouldn't call using 1 more quart of oil than Ford recommends ****, I'd call it ignorant.

Speaking of ignorant, there's quite a few posts around here that could use some touching up so instead of making a big deal about two friends giving each other some ****, why don't you go do something constructive.

OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH

oh yeah

And i'm not done....

Oil Capicity of a 5.4 is approx 7 quarts. You were forgetting about the one quart that fills your oil filter.

So when you change your oil, and oil filter (dont' know why you wouldn't change your filter when changing the oil), the engine will hold approx 7 quarts.

Looks like MR. BIGMOUTH just got owned so eat me

The SVT owners manual (included in your Lightning purchase) states that you put in 6 quarts and 6 quarts only for an oil change (including filter change). Can you read?

Looks like you need to go get a refund from whatever school you went to.

now thats being owned.

BUT, if you wanna overfill your lightning by one quart, then go ahead. I'm not the one paying for it.
Just don't lead others to believe false/ignorant info.

Please don't make this policy.

If we banned false or ignorant info, the post count would drop in half -- and with it the entertainment value of watching jackasses attempt to defend their stupid positions.
