EGR delete? Ref vacum lines.

Ok well I got home around 6pm tonight and started tearing the L down for my KB, inj, maf and EGR delete project.

In my quest to to clean up the engine "clutter" I decided to disect up my vacum lines and eliminate all the lines assocaited with the EGR system as I am removing all the soleniods and junk sitting near the drivers fuel rail.

Here is a pic of what I have done.

Basically what I have done is isolate the port on the driver side to feed the FPR and the boost gauge only. I removed all the lines associated with EGR and boost dump soleniod but I got sort of lost as to where the source originally was for the rear port of the bypass valve.

As it sits right now I will have the KB's bypass diaphram hooked up the upper plenun. If this ok? Does anyone know where the eaton bypass diaphram's gets its source of vacum?

The rear port of the boost actuator goes to the intake elbow I think. The front port of the boost actuator (the line that opens the bypass plate) went to manifold vacuum I think. That way under manifold vacuum the valve is open and under boost, it closes. Someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Looks like in the pic you deleted the entire vacuum supply coming from the passenger side of the upper intake. Doesn't one of those lines (the red one) go over to something by the brake booster assembly?

I have one of the hard lines from the upper plenum going directly to the KB's boost bypass valve. I think there is vacum in the plenum with the throttle body closed. As the the butterflys in the throttle body's open more and more the vacum in the plenum is gone so in essence it should close the diaphram?

Does anyone know if this is correct. The KB boost bypass diaphram only has one port. You have to cap the port off at the elbow per there instructions.

Any thoughts?

On my setup I tee'd the line going from the drivers side (manifold vacuum) to the boost gauge. I hooked that line up to the boost actuator. Im not sure if this is the correct way or not but its the way JDM suggested doing it. You should still have two hard lines going from passenger side vacuum source; one (red) to the EVAP system mounted next to the brake booster. If you remove that you will get a check engine light and have problems filling your tank. The other one (black) controls your HVAC selection in the cab. If you dont run that I believe it will stay on floor or something similar all the time.

As it stands right now I have the fitting on the drivers side feeding the FPR and the boost gauge only. That port is below the blower so it will see vacum and boost.

The port on the upper right plenum near the TPS is feeding the KB's boost actuator and the EVAP solenoid to the far left near the booster. There is also a large line T'd into that for the HVAC and vacum storage near the battery. All the other lines have been removed.

My only concern is the KB's boost diapram, like I said its being supplied from the plenum port on the passenger side. I am curious as to whether the diapram needs to see boost to keep itself closed. As it sits it will only see vacum as the port is above the supercharger.
